Community Science: Explore a Stream
We need your help to better understand the health of our streams and trout! There are many streams out there that don’t have consistent monitoring, and we are asking the community to help us gather more information. Use the form linked below to report back after your fishing adventures on far-flung streams.
Click here to access the reporting form and for more details on how to get involved: https://forms.gle/Zoy7FuTJndtTZCor8.
The ask: TU would like to gather more information about streams that are not well monitored. Next time you’re looking for an adventure, consider checking out one of these streams, fish, observe, and report back using this form. You can use the form to report on any stream you visit. The more visited streams around the state we don’t really need to report on; this is for smaller streams that aren’t as frequently visited. Some of the streams that need exploring are:
Rio Gallina (Jemez, nw corner)
Coyote Creek (Jemez)
Rio Nutrias
Columbine Creek
Capulin Creek
Canjilon Creek
Corralitos Creek
We’d like anglers to report on native trout sightings, water levels, temperature, and other observations.
